<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle side mirror capable of achieving cost reduction without impairing appearance and allowing a driver to recognize the presence of an obstacle in the vicinity of a vehicle front wheel even when light is not projected to the vicinity of the vehicle front wheel at night, for example. <P>SOLUTION: This vehicle side mirror 20A comprises an optical member 30 allowing a driver to secure a field of vision in the vicinity of a vehicle front wheel.
