<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus capable of appropriately correcting camera shake in a rotation direction. <P>SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus (100) includes: an optical system (110); an imaging element (140) that takes an image focused thereon via the optical system to generate a piece of image data; a detecting section (250) that detects a shake of the own apparatus in a rotation direction; a cutout section (160, 180) that cuts out a piece of data of a predetermined cutout region from a region of the image data generated by the imaging element; and a storage section (180, 190) that stores the cutout image data in a recording medium (200). The cutout section determines the position of rotation center according to a predetermined condition (for example, focal distance of the optical system or movement amount of the imaging apparatus) and cuts out a piece of image data from the cutout region after rotating the cutout region on the position of rotation center so as to reduce the influence on the image focused on the imaging element due to the shake in the rotation direction detected by the detecting section. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
