Described are the use of compounds of Formula (I) depicted below, as active principals for treating skin conditions and compositions containing these compounds, <IMAGE> (I) where R4 is (CR5R6-CR7R8-X1)n-CR9R10R11; n is an integer from 1 to 18; R1, R2, R3, R5, R6, R7, R8, R9, R10 and R11 are, independently, hydrogen or substituents selected from alkyls, alkenyls, oxa-alkyls, aralkyls and aryls; and X, X1, Y and Z are, independently, oxygen.
