<p>#CMT# #/CMT# The device (1) has a housing (2) whose portion is arranged as a pressure deformable deformation body (21). Two end regions of flexible, vibration simulatable bending elements (31, 32) are secured at an interior part of the housing. A detection unit (6) detects deflection of the bending element and signals when a border level of a liquid medium is reached. The device is arranged below or at the level such that the housing extends into an inner part of a container (9) through an aperture at a wall of the container, so that hydrostatic pressure of the medium acts on the deformation body. #CMT# : #/CMT# The bending element is designed as a thin plate spring, and the deformation body is designed as membrane.
