WATER-ABSORPTIVE RESIN COMPOSITION, ABSORBER, AND ABSORBENT ARTICLE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water-absorptive resin composition which has excellent antibacterial and deodorization performance, can be safely handled, and is excellent in gel stability; to provide an absorber produced by using the water-absorptive resin composition; and to provide an absorbent article produced by using the absorber.

SOLUTION: The water-absorptive resin composition comprises a water-absorptive resin and an asteraceae plant extract. The amount of the asteraceae plant extract used is preferably 0.005 to 5 pts.mass based on 100 pts.mass of the water-absorptive resin. For example, the absorber contains the water-absorptive resin composition and a hydrophilic fiber. For example, in the absorbent article, the absorber is retained between a liquid-permeable sheet and a liquid-impermeable sheet.
