<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carbon dioxide arc welding method and welding equipment in which sputter is reduced and welding quality is improved. <P>SOLUTION: The welding equipment includes: a power supply circuit for applying voltage between a welding torch and a base material; and a power supply controller for controlling the voltage of the power supply circuit. The power supply controller controls the power supply circuit such that: high level current in which waveforms increasing and decreasing at a prescribed cycle and having an amplitude gradually increased are piled up, is output in the initial first arc period Ta1 of an arc period following after a short circuit period Ts; and constant voltage control is performed in the latter second arc period Ta2 of the arc period. The waveforms whose amplitudes increase according to growth of droplets are piled up, allowing stable formation of the droplets and increase in a growth rate of the droplets, while preventing the droplets from gradually rising up due to reaction of the arc. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
