<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioning apparatus capable of suppressing the deterioration of a capacity of air cleaning using ions. <P>SOLUTION: In the air conditioning apparatus which discharges the ions from a discharge prot by making the ions contain air flowing from a flow-in port 13, a passage of the air is branched to a first passage 17 continuous to an edge portion 141 including a part of an edge of the discharge port and a second passage 18 continuous to a center portion 142 including the center of the discharge port. The first passage 17 is continuously narrowed from the upstream side of the air toward the downstream side, the air passing through the first passage 17 is discharged at higher speed than that of air passing through the second passage 18. The ions contained in the air discharged while passing through the second passage 18 are blocked from those which are electrically charged around the discharge port by the high-speed air discharged while passing through the first passage 17, and spread into an air apace without being neutralized.
