IMAGE READER, CALIBRATION METHOD, AND CALIBRATION PROGRAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve accuracy of calibration without reading a test chart generated by paper with a wider color reproduction range when the calibration is performed.

SOLUTION: A compound machine 1 stores gradation values (colorimetric values) of density patches of first and second test charts as first and second target values, respectively. The second test chart includes the density patch out of the density range of the first test chart. The compound machine 1 stores the gradation value of the density patch obtained by a reader of another device as a second reading value on the second test chart. When the calibration is performed, the density patch of the first test chart is read, and the gradation value of the density patch is acquired as a first reading value. The calibration is performed on the basis of the acquired first reading value and data stored in a storage section.
