<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an environment-friendly novel type chain transfer agent causing no odor problem, being composed of only carbon, hydrogen and oxygen, and capable of giving a functional group to a polymer; the polymer imparted with the functional group; and a method of producing the polymer. <P>SOLUTION: The chain transfer agent includes a condensed polycyclic aromatic skeleton represented by general formula (1). In the formula: n is an integer of 0-3; R is a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, an aryl group, an aralkyl group, an alkoxyalkyl group, a glycidyl group, a hydroxyalkyl group or an aryloxy alkyl group; p is an integer of 1 or 2; q is an integer of 0-4; r is an integer of 1-4; Y and Z are each a hydrogen atom or a methyl group; and X is a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, or aryl group. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
