<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hairspring having excellent isochronous. <P>SOLUTION: A hairspring 10 comprises rectangular section coils. A pitch (p) between the coils and thickness (e) can vary from an inner curve part 11 to an outer curve part 14. Or a portion of the coils is changed from a line of the perfect hairspring 10. The inner curve 11 can be extended by a self-locking washer 17 which is formed at the same time when a strip is formed, the hairspring 10 can be fixed, without clearance, to a balance staff 9.
