<p>A polarized light source comprises a bar-shaped light-guiding body, a reflecting polarized light layer, a phase difference layer, a reflecting layer, and a light emitting element. The bar-shaped light-guiding body further comprises a first end face, a second end face opposite the first end face, and a third end face which is adjacent to the first end face. The reflecting polarized light layer is positioned opposite the first end face along the longitudinal direction of the bar-shaped light-guiding body, passes a first polarized light therethrough, and reflects a second polarized light whose polarizing direction intersects the first polarized light. The phase difference layer is positioned between the reflecting polarized light layer and the first end face. The reflecting layer is positioned opposite the second end face. The light emitting element causes light to enter the third end face.</p> |
