<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical recording medium capable of enlarging the SER margin by detrack, increasing the carrier of C/N of a wobble signal, obtaining an equivalent carrier even when a wobble amount is reduced, decreasing crosstalk by reducing the wobble amount so that noise of the C/N of the wobble signal can be reduced, and increasing the carrier of the C/N of the wobble signal to reduce noise even when disturbance such as detrack occurs. <P>SOLUTION: A groove is formed in a reproduction-only area of a substrate of an optical recording medium, in such a manner that, in a portion 12a where the groove 2a in the reproduction-only area of the substrate wobbles rightward with respect to the scanning direction of a laser beam, an angle α1 of a left side trench of the groove is larger than an angle α2 of a right side trench, and in a portion 12b where the groove 2a in the reproduction-only area of the substrate wobbles leftward, an angle β2 of a right side trench of the groove is larger than an angle β1 of a left side trench. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
