PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a negative electrode active material, an electrode including the negative electrode active material, a lithium battery in which the electrode is adopted, and a method for manufacturing the negative electrode active material.

SOLUTION: A negative electrode active material includes a regulated porous manganese oxide, and pores of the manganese oxide have size distribution in duplicate. An electrode including the negative electrode active material, a lithium battery in which the electrode is adopted, and a method for manufacturing the negative electrode active material are also provided.
