<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an authentication device which, when permitting the use of a device to a user whose authentication process cannot be performed, prevents permitting the user to use the device as a user whose authentication process can be normally performed. <P>SOLUTION: An authentication device acquires user information of a user who uses a multifunction machine, determines whether or not the user information is included in a cache data table of the authentication device, and, when determining that the user information is not included, performs an authentication process of an approved user for permitting the use of the device to the user. After the authentication process of the approved user is normally finished, the authentication device accepts an input of a user name of the user who uses the device and, when determining that the user name is not included in the cache data table, permits the use of the device as the user having the user name of which input is accepted. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
