<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerator capable of improving usability by exhibiting a deodorizing capacity for a long period of time with a low cost structure. <P>SOLUTION: In a refrigeration compartment 2 of the refrigerator, a deodorizing unit 20 is provided which has: an air passage 30 (passage) to make an air inlet 30a for sucking air in the refrigeration compartment 2 for storing storage materials in the refrigeration compartment 2 (storage compartment) communicate with an air outlet 30c for sending air into the refrigeration compartment 2; a blower 40 arranged in the air passage 30; an ion generator 50 for generating ion and ozone by electrical discharge and for discharging the ion and ozone into the air passage 30; and an ozone catalyst 70 for decomposing the ozone generated by the ion generator 50. The refrigerator is provided with a deodorization mode for deodorizing the air in the refrigeration compartment 2 using the ozone generated by the ion generator 50, and a clean mode for decomposing an odor component adsorbed on an ozone catalyst 70 using one or both of the ion and ozone generated by an ion generator 50, while decreasing the number of revolutions of the blower 40 more than that in the deodorization mode. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
