INSTALLATION STRUCTURE OF IMPORTANT SECURITY COMPONENT IN REAR PART OF AUTOMOBILE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable installation of an important security component in a rear part of an automobile.

SOLUTION: An installation area of a battery 3 is set at a rear part of an automobile. A rear cross member 51 and a front wall panel 52 forming a front wall of the installation area are provided at the front surface position of the battery 3, and a lower back panel 6 forming a rear wall is provided at the rear surface position. An upper reinforcing member 32 is arranged so as to stretch a rear cross member 51 and a lower back panel 6 at the position above the battery 3. The load received by the lower back panel 6 from its rear side is transmitted and distributed to the rear cross member 51 at the front side. A rear bumper reinforcing member 8 is provided behind the lower back panel 6, and a load transmitting member 163 for efficiently transmitting the load received by the rear bumper reinforcing member 8 from the back side to the upper reinforcing member 32 is provided on a rear side of the lower back panel 6.
