<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device for a direct-injection engine that reduces the amount of fuel adhering to piston crown surfaces or cylinder-bore wall surfaces while increasing the degree of homogeneity of the air-fuel mixture in cylinders in order to reduce the number of exhaust particles of PM. <P>SOLUTION: During each combustion cycle, fuel injection is prohibited in a period during which the lift position of an intake valve is within a predetermined range, more specifically, in a period during which the intake valve is in a range from a middle lift position to the vicinity of a maximum lift position. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
