PURPOSE: A digital video recorder system and a driving method thereof are provided to minimize a configuration change of an existing system even though an application or hardware is changed. CONSTITUTION: An application assisting unit(200) interfaces with an application of a DVR system. The application assisting unit performs a recording function and a play function. A hardware assisting unit(300) interfaces with the hardware of the digital video recording system. The hardware assisting unit performs an encoding function and a decoding function. A control unit(400) mutually connects and operates the hardware assisting unit with the application assisting unit. |
