PURPOSE: A method for calculating the level of stored iron in a blast furnace is provided to accurately calculate the level of stored iron by applying an average material drop speed, an air volume, and a compensation value changed according to the state of the furnace and correcting deviation. CONSTITUTION: A method for calculating the level of stored iron in a blast furnace comprises the steps of: receiving charging time and charging amount for each charge from a fuel and raw material charging device(10) to a computing unit(30) and calculating an average material drop speed for each charge; calculating the production amount of hot metal and slag based on the average material drop speed for each charge; correcting the production amount of hot metal and slag per minute according to the volume of hot air blown by an air heater(20); calculating the weight of a TLC(Torpedo Ladle Car) from a TLC weight measuring instrument(40) and calculating the discharge amount of hot metal and air cooled slag; receiving the discharge amount of granulated slag from a granule treatment device(50) and calculating the discharge amount of hot metal and slag per minute; and calculating the level of stored iron based on the corrected production amount and the calculated discharge amount of hot metal and slag.
