<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gap length adjusting device determining the zero position and adjusting the gap length without variation for each worker. <P>SOLUTION: The gap length adjusting device 10 includes a forming tool 12 for working a metallic tape 11 into a tubular shape, and an electrode 14 for welding a both side butting position 13 of the metallic tape 11, and adjusts the gap length between the both side butting position 13 and the electrode 14. The gap length adjusting device further includes: a contact confirmation controller 15 applying voltage to the metallic tape 11 and the electrode 14, detecting electrical contact accompanying contact of the metallic tape 11 and the electrode 14 with each other, and outputting a detection signal based on the detection; a displacement sensor 17 including a display 16 displaying that the gap length is zero when the detection signal is input and measuring displacement of the electrode 14; and an annunciator 18 informing a worker that the gap length is zero when the detection signal is input. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
