FIELD: forest and wood-working industries. SUBSTANCE: the machine has a frame consisting of the left- and right-hand guides that carry gantry carriages installed on rollers. The gantry uses plungers mounted on the carriages and L-shaped posts connected at the top by a cross girder; one end of the posts is fastened to the carriages, and the other - to the cross girder, lead screws interconnected by means of sprockets and chain drive, and a saw frame. The saw frame uses a framework, vertically mounted on which are the drive and driven pulleys with the saw blade. The framework is mounted on lead screws and on plungers, which serve as guides by means of bushes. The saw frame is so installed that the vertical plane passing through the cutting edge of the saw blade is arranged at an angle of 82 to 86 deg to the direction of gantry motion. EFFECT: enhanced precision of sawing of wood and quality of worked surface, reduced specific quantity of metal, simplified design of the machine and enhanced reliability. 4 cl, 4 dwg
