Provided is a permanent magnet motor with which a magnetic force may be further enhanced. An outer circumferential surface of a rotor (2) is formed by a plurality of split outer circumferential surfaces (10) separated at a regular interval in a circumferential direction facing a permanent magnet (3). The split outer circumferential surface (10) is formed by a first curved surface (11) which is disposed across both circumferential directional ends from the center of the circumferential direction, a radial distance between the center of the circumferential direction of the split outer circumferential surface (10) and a shaft center of the rotor (2) being the maximum, and a second curved surface (12) which crosses the first curved surface (11) and is disposed across the center of the circumferential direction from both circumferential directional ends, a radial distance between the shaft center of the rotor (2) and the center of the circumferential direction of the split outer circumferential surface (10) being the minimum. An arc side with a central shaft being the shaft center of the rotor (2) is disposed at a partial or whole section extending toward the center of the circumferential direction from both the circumferential directional ends of the split outer circumferential surface (10) of the second curved surface (12), and the distance between both the ends of the first curved surface (11) is smaller than a width of the permanent magnet (3) which crosses the split outer circumferential surface from the center of the circumferential direction to the radial direction.
