An internal combustion engine has a series sequential turbocharger (T) with a low pressure EGR duct (35) extending from the exhaust tract to an intermediate location between compressor stages (25, 26) of the turbocharger. The EGR duct may also have a branch (42) to the turbocharger compressor inlet, and a suitable flow control valve (24). A non-return valve (44) may be provided in the EGR duct at the intermediate location. |
