PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To derive a suitable light wavelength satisfying the optical signal quality in a bidirectional path, in a wavelength switching optical network.
SOLUTION: The end-to-end optical signal-to-noise ratios in the uplink and downlink are calculated, respectively, from the deterioration amount of the optical signal-to-noise ratio in the representative wavelengths of each node and link, out of a plurality of candidate wavelengths available as a bidirectional path. The optical signal-to-noise ratios in the uplink and downlink thus calculated are compared with a predetermined threshold. From the comparison results, optical signal wavelength and route consisting of a plurality of wavelengths including an unused representative wavelength and having optical signal-to-noise ratios in the uplink and downlink higher than a predetermined threshold are derived.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
