MICROGEL PREPARATION PROCESS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process of producing a microgel composition particle having nuclei of a crosslinked polymer and a large number of polymer arms adhered to the nuclei.

SOLUTION: The process of producing a microgel composition particle having a large number of polymer arms adhered to the nuclei and the crosslinked polymer nuclei includes reacting a living prepolymer component with a monomer component, wherein the monomer component contains polyolefin monomers. The living prepolymer is produced by reaction of monoolefin monomers and an initiator, as required, in the presence of a catalyst.
