<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a catalyst for producing polyester using a titanium catalyst dispersion obtained by reacting a titanium compound and a phosphorus compound, wherein fluctuation in average particle size (particle size distribution) of the titanium catalyst particles is small. <P>SOLUTION: This production method of a catalyst for producing polyester comprises reacting a titanium compound and a phosphorus compound in a reaction vessel equipped with a stirring device, wherein at least one compound selected from the group consisting of the titanium compound, the phosphorus compound and the catalyst for producing polyester is a compound having a hydrophobic group and a hydrophilic group in a molecule; and the relation between the height H and the diameter D of the reaction vessel is 0.5≤H/D≤2.0. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
