<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correct distances between light-emitting elements and image locations, that change depending on changes of temperatures of the light-emitting elements of an exposure device. <P>SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus 100 which forms an image on a recording medium includes: an image carrier 6; the exposure device 23 having a plurality of light-emitting elements 5a which are arranged side by side in a longitudinal direction orthogonal to a rotation direction of the image carrier and which emit light in accordance with image information to expose a surface of the image carrier, and image forming elements 4 which form, on the surface of the image carrier, images of the lights from the plurality of the light-emitting elements; an optical member 1 which is arranged movably on a light path between the plurality of light-emitting elements and the image carrier so as to correct the distances between the plurality of light-emitting elements and the image locations on the image carrier of the lights from the plurality of light-emitting elements wherein that distances change depending on changes of the temperatures of the plurality of light-emitting elements; and a drive unit 12 which moves the optical member so as to correct the distances between the plurality of light-emitting elements and the image locations in accordance with information related to the temperatures of the plurality of light-emitting elements. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
