<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multifunctional device that, when operating according to an instruction from an instruction device, does not transmit received user unique information to the instruction device, thereby enabling prevention of leakage of the user unique information. <P>SOLUTION: When determining to have been instructed to receive personal information, an MFP 100 does not transmit an input value received from an input unit 108 to an instruction device 200.
