<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner charged state detection device and an image forming apparatus that allow detection of a toner charged state with a simple constitution. <P>SOLUTION: A toner charged state detection device includes: density detection means 51 for detecting a density of a toner image transferred on a transfer medium from on an image holding body 26 by transfer means or of a residual transfer toner image remaining on the image holding body; and charged state detection means 100 for, when the toner image held on the image holding body is transferred to the transfer medium by the transfer means, detecting a toner charged state, in which the toner image is formed while a transfer voltage applied to the transfer means is varied into multiple values, on the basis of the relationship between values of the transfer voltage applied to the transfer means and values of the detected density by the density detection means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
