<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multi-layer display processing device capable of using a memory for another purpose to enhance system performance by eliminating a piece of data representing transparency in multi-layer superposition processing. <P>SOLUTION: The multi-layer display processing device includes: a frame memory that stores plural pieces of data of display layers to be displayed; a layer superposing section that reads out the plural pieces of data of the display layers from the frame memory and superposes the plural pieces of data of the display layers; and a display processing section that processes to display the superposed data. The layer superposing section has a coordinate setting register that specifies coordinates and an arbitrary layer from the plural data of the display layers and a transparent processing section that performs superposing processing on a region specified by the coordinate setting register as a transparent region. A coordinate setting register is provided for setting a region to be processed as a transparent region when superposing the layers. A layer data having any value which represents a region set in the coordinate setting register can be superposed as a transparent region.
