<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing device that includes a developing roller that carries toner on the surface thereof and rotates and a regulating member that comes into pressure-contact with the developing roller to regulate layer thickness of the toner, is less likely to have concaves and convexes formed on the surface of the regulating member that contacts the developing roller, prevents a local decrease in layer thickness of the toner or passing of the toner, and forms a uniform toner layer, as well as an image forming apparatus including the developing device. <P>SOLUTION: A rod-like member is provided, which brings a regulating member into pressure-contact with a developing roller; and the rod-like member is moved on the regulating member in the rotation direction of the developing roller or in the reverse direction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
