<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce damage to an image heating member due to toner and the like adhering to a rubbing member when the rubbing member is brought into contact with the image heating member. <P>SOLUTION: The image heating device includes means for performing an operation such that while power supply control means controls heating mean, the rubbing member is kept in contact with image heating means, which rotates at a first speed, for a preset time, and then the rubbing member is brought into contact with the image heating means, which rotates at a second speed higher than the first speed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
