<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wooden inner window for a double window, which can be easily retrofitted to an existing window, is excellent in airtightness, heat insulation, sound-proofness, and dew-proofness, and can cope with also an error in dimensional accuracy of an existing window frame. <P>SOLUTION: An inner window is structured such that a set of window bodies 60A, 60B are opened and closed in a double sliding manner with in a window frame matched with and mounted to an existing outside window. A trim 64 supporting a glass plate has a surface protruding from the surface of a door frame 66. Joints of the window body 60A which becomes invisible from the front side when the set of window bodies are closed, among the joints between a top rail 68 and bottom rail 70 of the door frame 66 and left and right stiles 72, 74, are covered with spatula-like sealers 78 of which height becomes same as that of the surface of the trim 64. A gap member 92 in contact with a vertical edge of the trim 64 of the window body 60A and the spatula-like sealer 78 is provided on the back face side of the stile 74 of the window body 60B and a gap produced in terms of its wooden sash structure is closed to enhance airtightness.
