<p>The process comprises shaping a blank in a shaping process to form a tubular semi-finished product so that longitudinal edges of the semi-finished product are aligned against each other, and placing the tubular semi-finished product in a capacitor discharge welding device (1) such that first longitudinal edge is arranged on its longitudinal extension by a first welding electrode of the welding device and the second longitudinal edge is arranged opposite to the first longitudinal edge over its longitudinal extension by a second welding electrode of the welding device. The process comprises shaping a blank in a shaping process to form a tubular semi-finished product so that longitudinal edges of the semi-finished product are aligned against each other, placing the tubular semi-finished product in a capacitor discharge welding device (1) such that first longitudinal edge is arranged on its longitudinal extension by a first welding electrode of the welding device and the second longitudinal edge is arranged opposite to the first longitudinal edge over its longitudinal extension by a second welding electrode of the welding device, and connecting the two opposite longitudinal edges by capacitor discharge welding. The shaping step comprises a first forming step in which a trough-shaped semi-finished product (15) is produced and a second forming step in which a tubular semi-finished product is produced, where the first and second forming steps are clock-concatenated and carried out by shaping devices (14) in a single forming press. After completion of the shaping step, the tubular semi-finished product is positioned in the forming device for implementing the final shaping step.</p> |
