The workpiece (10) comprises an upper portion (12) and lower portion (14), made of plastic materials having different properties such as elasticity, temperature stability, strength, stiffness, tensile strength and impact strength. A transition region (16) is formed at an interface between the upper portion and lower portion. The width (B) of transition region is set to 0.1mm, such that first plastics material is mixed continuously with second plastic material. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) a method for manufacturing plastic injection molding workpiece; and (2) a device for manufacturing plastic injection molding workpiece.
