FOREIGN LANGUAGE READING STUDYING SYSTEM USING EXTRACTING KEYWORDS

PURPOSE: A foreign language interpreting learning system using keyword extraction is provided to understand the characteristics and subject of the foreign language passage promptly and correctly. CONSTITUTION: A text database(110) comprises a foreign language passage which contains sentences and paragraphs. A dictionary database(120) comprises a dictionary with definitions of foreign language words. A paragraph structure checking module(130) grasps the order and numbers of paragraphs included in the passage. A sentence analysis module(140) comprises a sentence form understanding unit which grasps the number and orders of the sentences included in the passage respectively and a conjunctive extraction unit which extracts the conjunctive among the words within each sentence. A sentence analysis interface comprises a closing word checker and a keyword grasping module. A learning window providing module(210) provides a learning window which includes the foreign language passage and questions as a display mean. A keyword selection module(230) selects a keyword from a passage to the learner by comparing the keywords and words which the learner chooses. A problem solving module(240) confirms the correct answer by making the learners solve the passage`s questions.
