<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent occurrence of an image failure, on an image of a recording medium, such as a rubbing trace and a bright stripe caused by a pawl for separating a recording medium from a fixing roller and a guide section for guiding conveyance after the separation, and further prevent occurrence of a water droplet trace. <P>SOLUTION: The fixing device comprises: a fixing roller 21 and a pressing roller 22 for forming a fixing nip N; a heating source 24 for heating at least one of both the rotors; a plurality of separating members 23 including the pawl 23a for separating the recording medium passing through the fixing nip N from a fixing rotor; pawl section rollers 40 which are respectively and rotatably supported by the plurality of separating members 23 and guide the separated recording medium in a discharging direction; and a guiding roller 43 rotatably supported by a fixing exit guide 41.
