<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cache memory which can perform a low power consumption operation and whose cache hit rate has been improved; and a driving method thereof. <P>SOLUTION: One memory cell within a memory set included in a cache memory comprises: two data storage parts (a first storage part and a second storage part); and one data transmission part through which each other's data can be transmitted between two data storage parts.
