<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain high ink impact accuracy while suppressing floating of a recording medium from a platen. <P>SOLUTION: Carrying a predetermined amount of the recording medium P1 and discharging ink to the recording medium P1 while suction force is applied to the recording medium P1 from a plurality of grooves on the surface of the platen 3 to suck the recording medium P1 are alternately repeated. The plurality of grooves include: grooves constituting recording medium suction parts 5 applying the suction force to the recording medium P1; and grooves constituting ink receiving parts 8 receiving the ink discharged to outside of the recording medium P1. Movable members 21a, 21b are installed at an upstream side end and a downstream side end in the recording medium carrying direction of the ink receiving part 8, respectively. In the case where recording with borders is preformed on the recording medium P1, when the ink is discharged to a tip of the recording medium P1, a portion of the ink receiving part 8 protruding to outside of the recording medium P1 is covered with the movable member 21b. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
