PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve measurement accuracy of a current sensor using magneto-optical effect.
SOLUTION: Light sources (a laser light source 11 and a polarizing prism 12) for emitting a polarized beam and a light-receiving unit 14 for receiving the polarized beam are provided in an upper case 2. A through-hole 4 for inserting a conductor 5 to be measured therein is formed in a lower case 3, and a magnetic thin film 15 is provided in a storage section 3b of the lower case 3. The conductor 5 is inserted into the through-hole 4 of the lower case 3. Next, a projection 2b of the upper case 2 is inserted into the storage section 3b of the lower case 3. A current is applied to the conductor 5 to activate a current sensor 1. The upper case 2 is rotated to monitor an output signal from the light-receiving unit 14. As a result, the traveling direction of the polarized beam can be adjusted in such a way that the traveling direction of the polarized beam is aligned with the direction of magnetization of the magnetic thin film 15 when no current is applied to the conductor 5. After that, the upper case 2 is connected to the lower case 3.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
