PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming method employing a non-heating fixing method for stably forming color images with high intensity.

SOLUTION: An image forming method includes: an image forming step for overlapping a plurality of printings for respective colors each using one of seven colors of toner in such a way that each seven colors of toner do not overlap with one another using seven image forming units 5Bk to 5B, to form a single-layered toner image on a recording medium 12; and a fixing step for applying fixing solution containing a softening agent for softening the toner to the toner image on the recording medium 12 to fix the toner image.
