The present invention relates to a sheet glass winding device comprising: a winding core having a roll attached to the outer peripheral portion of the winding core, the roll being configured by winding a band-like sheet glass having a thickness of 0.3 mm or less together with a band-like buffer material to form a roll; and flanges respectively provided on opposite ends in the longitudinal direction of the winding core. A pressing unit to press the flanges against the end face sides of the roll is additionally provided on a portion of the winding core.
