<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal lens which controls an optical path, and a display including the liquid crystal lens. <P>SOLUTION: The liquid crystal lens includes a first electrode and a second electrode which face each other, a liquid crystal layer interposed between the first electrode and the second electrode and has flat top and bottom surfaces, and a dielectric layer interposed between the second electrode and the liquid crystal layer. The dielectric layer includes a first dielectric sub-layer and a second dielectric sub-layer. The first dielectric sub-layer contains a material having a dielectric constant different from that of the second dielectric sub-layer, and includes at least one unit pattern. A surface of the one unit pattern includes a plurality of flat sections.
