<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify vibration detection of a water tub by detecting vibration corresponding to a plurality of vibration modes with detection of acceleration of a single axial direction using an acceleration sensor. <P>SOLUTION: A washing machine comprises: an outer case; a water tub that is provided in the outer case; a vibration-proof support device that is provided on the outer case and is configured to support the water tub; a rotary tub that is provided in the water tub and is rotary-driven around a rotary axis extending in a gravitational direction; and an acceleration sensor that is provided on the water tub and is configured to detect acceleration along at least one detection axis, and the angle θ between the detection axis and the rotary axis satisfies 0°<θ<90°. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
