<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an instrument lighting device capable of acquiring uniform light limited in illumination unevenness within a wide range without increasing the number of light sources, and increasing the freedom of design molding. <P>SOLUTION: A bottom surface part 12a in an instrument housing 12 includes LEDs 5 and 5, and an illumination area 11 including a main illumination area 11a where a main scale part 8a for displaying a rotational speed is provided on a character plate 16 covering a front opening and a sub-illumination area 11b where a sub-scale part 8b of a thermometer for displaying a temperature is provided. The main illumination area 11a is formed into an annular shape by cutting a part of its bottom. The sub-illumination area 11b compensates for the cut part, and the illumination area is connected thereto. Illumination light from the LEDs 5 and 5 is applied to all the region of the annular illumination area 11 as back light illumination from the rear surface side. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
