<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control the emission of NOx when an internal combustion engine is started again after being stopped temporarily. <P>SOLUTION: An ECU 20 includes: closing an exhaust side EGR valve 37 and an intake side EGR valve 36 before the internal combustion engine stops for storing an exhaust gas in an EGR passage 35a, when receiving a stop request of the internal combustion engine; cutting off a fuel injection from a fuel injection valve 11 for stopping the internal combustion engine and also closing a throttle valve 23; opening the throttle valve 23 after the internal combustion engine stops and also opening an intake side EGR valve 36; and closing the throttle valve 23 when the pressure at the downstream side more than the throttle valve 23 in the intake passage 35a becomes substantially equal to an atmospheric pressure. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
