The detection unit (2) detects, by image processing, an object contained in an image as a candidate to be tracked. The correspondence degree calculation unit (3) calculates a correspondence degree, which indicates the probability that the detected candidate to be tracked and an object to be tracked registered as objects to be tracked correspond to each other. The evaluation unit (4) deletes, when the object to be tracked is evaluated as an object that does not need to be tracked on the basis of an evaluation value, registration of the object to be tracked as objects to be tracked. The evaluation value is a value calculated using the calculated correspondence degree, and is a value with which an evaluation is made whether to track the object to be tracked continuously. |
