LASER IGNITION PLUG AND COOLER FOR A LASER IGNITION PLUG

Proposed is a laser ignition plug (10) which is designed to be installed into a plug hole (12) of an internal combustion engine and to focus laser ignition energy into a combustion chamber (16) of the internal combustion engine through a combustion-chamber-side, and thus proximal, end (20) of the laser ignition plug (10). The laser ignition plug is characterized in that, at a distal end (22) situated opposite the proximal end (20), the laser ignition plug (10) has coupling means (24) for detachable mechanical and thermal connection to a cooler (34), wherein the coupling means (24) are designed to permit coupling and decoupling of the cooler (34) when the laser ignition plug (10) is installed in the plug hole (12). Further independent claims are directed to a cooler and to a laser ignition device constructed in modular fashion from a cooler and a laser ignition plug.
