The flywheel (10) has primary and secondary flywheel masses (12,24) to introduce and recover torque respectively. A bow spring (22) is coupled between flywheel masses so as to limit rotation of secondary flywheel mass. The flywheel masses define walls for defining spring chamber (38) in which grease lubricated spring is arranged. The secondary flywheel mass has main secondary flywheel mass (26) spaced from spring chamber. A heat insulator (46) is arranged between boundary wall of spring chamber and main secondary flywheel mass and is pointed towards main secondary flywheel mass. An independent claim is included for clutch unit for torsional vibration damper.
