The subject matter of the present invention is a universal protector for skateboards and longboards that covers the front or rear part of the board. It is formed by a laminar sheet, a rubber cover and hook/loop tape. The rectangular laminar sheet, which is of sufficient thickness, extends via transverse flanges that form a right angle with respect to the sheet and there are end through-holes. The rubber cover is of the laminar-strip type or, alternatively, of the cover (6) type, which covers the laminar sheet on the outside and is also rectangular and has transverse flanges (7) at each of the ends thereof, with a perimeter skirt (8), grooves present in different portions of the flanges (7) and through-holes (14). The inner face of the laminar sheet is covered with a "male" part of the hook/loop tape, which adheres to a "female" part of the hook/loop tape affixed to the front or rear edge of the board.
